MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Police in Mooresville are blaming teenagers for a string of early morning fires Saturday.
Four fires were set within a 10 minute stretch near Washington and Main streets shortly after 2 a.m.
Police say the arsonists set three trash cans on fire then torched an abandoned garage.
No one was injured but police and residents say teenagers are to blame.
"It's just kind of an assumption on our part. It seems like they were walking around town trying to find things to set on fire," said Detective Chad Richhart with Mooresville Police Department.
Residents who live near the area say the garage that was torched was abandoned, and often a hangout place for several teens.
"The ones I seen in the garage are a bunch of mean brats, a bunch of boys. You get a bunch of boys together, you have a lot of problems," said Marlow Faulk, a nearby resident.
Police have not released a description of the suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Mooresville Police Department.
