RICHMOND, Ind. (WISH) - One woman was arrested Friday after two people were shot in an apparent drive-by shooting Friday afternoon at a McDonald's in Richmond, 24-Hour News 8's news partner WDTN reports.
Investigators say a man and woman were in a car at the drive-thru of the restaurant at Main and 17th streets when another car passed by and opened fire at about 3:15 p.m. Friday. Both were shot and were taken to Reid Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, WDTN reports.
Valerie Grubbs, 29, is facing attempted murder charges. According to police, she was the driver of the car that ambushed two people in the drive-thru.
Police are still searching for the suspected gunman, 20-year-old Chad Malone.
A family member of one of the victims identified the two people shot as Corey Gross and Cassandra Parker, both 20 years old.
Parker suffered gunshot wounds to her stomach. She was treated at Reid Memorial Hospital and later released.
Gross was shot in his arm. He was tranferred from Reid Memorial to Methodist Hospital for treatment.
