DALLAS (AP) - A Minnesota company has announced a voluntary recall of some mislabeled chicken feed sold in Texas.
The Feed Solutions recall involves one lot of DuMOR poultry layer 16 percent crumbles. The 50-pound bags were incorrectly packaged in DuMOR poultry grower/finisher bags.
The Shoreview, Minn., company says the incorrectly packaged feed can potentially harm young chicks. One complaint has been reported. A spokeswoman said Friday that the feed is mainly used by people who raise chickens in their yards, not for commercial sales.
The lot was produced March 15 for Tractor Supply Co. and distributed to a dozen stores, since March 22, in north and west parts of Texas. The lot number is: 2MAR15OKC1.
Customers can contact Feed Solutions at 615-315-4092.
Feed Solutions is a unit of Land O'Lakes Inc.
