Fort Wayne firefighters pull fawn from pool

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne firefighters rescued a baby deer from a residential pool Friday and were eventually able to reunite the fawn with its mother.

Firefighters from Fort Wayne Fire Station 13 were called to the 2000 block of Fox Chase. As the crew arrived and worked to get into the pool area, the fawn went under water for about 15 seconds, according to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control officials.

The fawn was eventually pulled from the water and the firefighters administered oxygen to it.

The fawn was later reunited with its mother.
