INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - More than 540,000 people participated in the fourth U.S. ShakeOut drill on Thursday.
Indiana was just one of 43 states to participate in the earthquake exercise.
Participants learned to drop on the ground, take cover by getting under a school desk or table while covering their head and neck, and holding on until the shaking stops.
The drill was created by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
Officials are investigating after a break-in at an east side home, police say.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released more information after a 3-year-old boy was shot Thursday evening.
A Franklin man was sentenced to 100 years in prison for child molestation charges Thursday.
