The campaign is called “Fall for Felines” and it will allow the shelter to maintain its feline adoption fee at $10 per cat or kitten for the remainder of the year. The normal fee to adopt a cat is $70.
“We see a significant increase in feline adoptions when we are able to reduce the fee. Those additional adoptions mean more lives saved,” said Jessica Henry, shelter director. “Plus, every feline has been spayed or neutered, which we know will help reduce pet overpopulation in our community.”
You can adopt a kitten or cat at the Allen County ASPCA shelter, located at 4914 S. Hanna Street, or the PetSmart stores on Lima Road or in the Apple Glen shopping center.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
