INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indiana Department of Education reports the state's high school graduation rate was 88 percent in 2012 – up from 2011's 86.6 percent.
The percentage was calculated based on Indiana law.
The federal graduation rate is 87 percent, which is based on federal requirements. The federal rate reports a lower percentage because it exempts fewer students from the cohort.
