LOGANSPORT, Ind. (AP) — The Indiana Department of Transportation says the final stretch of the Indiana 25 portion of the Hoosier Heartland highway between Logansport and Delphi will open to traffic Friday, weather permitting.
The opening of the final stretch will complete a 35-mile, four-lane, limited-access divided highway connecting Lafayette and Logansport, where it connects with U.S. 24 leading to Fort Wayne.
INDOT says portions of the improved Indiana 25 have opened over the past month. On Friday, all sections of the new roadway will be open to traffic, including those around Delphi and Logansport. Some construction will continue, prompting some lane restrictions along Indiana 25 through the end of the year.
