INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma is out of Surgery.
Bosma contracted an infection in his knee that he had replaced over the summer. The infection required immediate surgery.
Bosma came out of surgery Tuesday afternoon and is resting at the hospital.
House officials said, "The Speaker remains in high spirits, and has a tremendous support system, including his fellow leaders in the House and Senate."
He hopes to return to work late next week or early the following week.
