DEARBORN CO., Ind. (WISH) - A Fishers woman was killed and her child was critically injured Monday when the van they were in hit a semi head on in Dearborn County.
Lori L. Dennison, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene, and her son, 5, was taken to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati in critical condition. His condition on Tuesday is unknown, a release said.
The accident happened around 6 p.m.
Officials say Dennison was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Venture van north on Ind. 1 near Zimmer Road and for unknown reasons, crossed the centerline and was struck head on by a semi driven by Natalie Paine, 54, of Belmont, Ohio.
After they hit, both vehicles ran off the west side of the road.
The crash is being investigated by Indiana State Police.
