ELKHART, Ind. (AP) — Perhaps thousands of recreational vehicle dealers are expected in northern Indiana's Elkhart County for the annual RV Open House Week put on by the area's manufacturers and parts suppliers.
RV industry marketing official Randy Fish tells The Elkhart Truth that dealers from throughout the United States and Canada will be attending the show.
The event was started six years ago by RV manufacturer Forest River and has grown to include most of the numerous RV-related businesses around Elkhart County. The Goshen News reports the events focus on giving dealers a first look at new offerings from manufacturers for the coming year.
Diana Lawson of the county visitors bureau says the show gives a big boost to hotels, restaurants and catering businesses.
