FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - An Oklahoma trucker has become the third person to die from a crash on Interstate 69 near Fort Wayne.
The Allen County Coroner's Office says 25-year-old Tirek Tyrone Murphy of Norman, Okla., died late Tuesday.
The coroner's office says in a statement issued Wednesday that Murphy died of sepsis and respiratory failure.
Murphy was injured July 11 when another semitrailer sideswiped his disabled rig.
The crash also killed championship car owner Blaine Miller and his grandson, 2009 front-wheel drive champion Jeff Shelmadine. Miller, the founder of Blaine Miller Road Service, and Shelmadine were assisting Murphy at the time.
