FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Representative Phyllis Pond's seat at the Indiana Statehouse will be filled at a caucus Tuesday.
Sixty-seven elected precinct committee members will gather at the Allen County GOP Headquarters in downtown Fort Wayne to vote on who should fill the 85th District seat representing New Haven, our sister station WANE reports.
Six people are vying for the position. The winner will serve out the rest of Pond's term, which runs through most of next year.
Pond passed away two weeks ago after battling a lung condition.
