INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Glenda Ritz, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, has started a statewide reading initiative called Hoosier Family of Readers.
The initiative will focus on families reading with their children every day during the summer and next school year.
Ritz says studies have shown that reading each day can have a positive academic impact on children.
