VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - According to Indiana State Police, all lanes of Interstate 70 are now open after a semi accident clogged traffic for several hours.
Crews worked two separate accidents on Interstate 70, within a couple miles of each other.
Our sister station WTHI reports a pick-up truck crashed into an INDOT truck causing traffic to back up on I-70.
Due to that backed up traffic, a semi then hits 5 vehicles just a couple miles down the road.
The only reported injury in both crashes was that of the semi driver. Those injuries are considered minor.
The eastbound lanes of I-70 near Darwin Road are closed as emergency crews clean up the scene of a semi turned sideways across the roadway.
The accident happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area while crews responded.
