SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — South Bend's minor league baseball team says all bags are now being checked as fans enter the city's Coveleski Stadium.
South Bend Silver Hawks officials say the new bag-check policy is meant to ensure the safety of all fans.
The South Bend Tribune reports team president Joe Hart says that officials can't be too cautious following the Boston Marathon bombings.
The team says purses, diaper bags, backpacks and any other bags will be checked at the stadium gates.
