SALEM, Ind. (AP) - State police are investigating the death of an 8-month-old boy in southeastern Indiana after a preliminary autopsy indicated he died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Police say Leelan Crain of Salem, about 40 miles northwest of Louisville, Ky., was brought to St. Vincent's Hospital in Salem about 7 p.m. Saturday.
He was flown to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville and was pronounced dead about 1:41 a.m. Sunday.
State police say it may take up to six weeks for final autopsy results are available.
