ANGOLA, Ind. (WANE) - Angola police arrested a man Monday night wanted for questioning in a murder Oct. 12 on North Washington Street.
Kenny R. Fletcher, 41, Angola, turned himself in at the Steuben County Jail Monday around 9 p.m.
Police said Fletcher turned himself in without incident. Fletcher has been charged with murder.
Additional details about the investigation were not immediately available early Tuesday morning.
Investigators named Fletcher as a person of interest over the weekend after an investigation revealed he and Wilbur Renshaw, 39, were involved in some type of altercation in the 400 block of North Washington Street.
On Saturday, police responded to a fight and found Renshaw bleeding in the street. He was taken to an Angola hospital where he died.
Steuben County Coroner William Harter told NewsChannel 15 on Monday that Renshaw suffered extreme trauma to the chest. Harter said it would be several days before an exact cause and manner of death would be determined.
