SULLIVAN CO. Ind. (WISH) - A New Mexico woman died Sunday evening after her vehicle crashed in Sullivan County.
Indiana State Police officials say the accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Ind. 48 near County Road 700 North, just west of Shelburn.
Police say Jennifer Ranbis, 34, of La Plata, N.M., was driving west on Ind. 48 when the vehicle traveled left of center, overcorrected, left the road and rolled over. Ranbis was partially ejected as the vehicle rolled over. She was pronounced dead at the scene, a release said.
The release said she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Police believe alcohol may have been a factor. Toxicology results are pending.
Carmel High School took over the Colts Complex for a night.
Avon Police Department and Avon Community School Corp. are investigating photos sent from female students to male students, police officials said.
