2 die in crash of small van, 2 semis

SEDALIA, Ind. (WISH) — Two Kokomo residents died Monday morning in a crash of their small van and two semitractor-trailers, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday afternoon.

Van driver Stacy L Langdon, 47, and passenger Delbert Parham, 65, died in the crash reported at 11:30 a.m. Monday at North County Road 30 West and State Road 26, which is just east of Sedalia.

A news release from the sheriff’s office said the van was going west on State Road 26 and the semis were going east. The van lost control and hit the first semi on the driver’s side and then hit the second semi head-on.

The driver of the first semi, Cory A. Hays, 29, of Dayton, Indiana, complained of pain.

The driver of the second semi, Robert A. McCoy, 45, of Lafayette, was not injured.

Joseph L. Mink, chief deputy of the sheriff’s office, said the county prosecutor was reviewing the crash.

The unincorporated community of Sedalia is located about 12 miles east of Lafayette.
