Church officials, police come together in effort to curb violence
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Law enforcement and local church leaders are coming together to find a way to curb violence.
The groups are meeting after three men were shot and killed Sunday on the near northwest side. That’s in the area where a jazz concert had taken place a few hours before.
Police don’t believe the concert and the shooting are connected.
Officials plan to mingle during block parties and hope to intervene before any potential fights turn violent.
