Heroic teacher to speak for first time following Noblesville school shooting

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A man many are praising as a hero for his actions during a school shooting in Noblesville will speak for the first time on Monday.

Jason Seaman, 29, will speak at a press conference after he was one of two victims shot by a student at Noblesville West Middle School on Friday.

The press conference is not open to the public.

Students said Seaman was responsible for stopping the shooter.

The seventh-grade science teacher was released from the hospital Saturday.

The suspected shooter is in custody, but officials have not released his name. 

Noblesville West Middle School Principal Stacey Swan and superintendent Beth Niedermeyer are also slated to be in attendance.
