Officer, child bitten by dog on north side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An officer and a child were bitten by a dog on the city's north side Monday morning.

The incident happened in the 6100 block of Cooper Road just before 10 a.m.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the officer was able to drive themselves to the hospital.

The child was also taken to the hospital, but her condition is unknown at this time.
