State trooper injured in I-70 crash
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indiana state trooper was injured in a crash Wednesday morning, according to the Indiana State Police.
ISP says a state trooper was sitting on the side of the road on I-70, just east of downtown Indianapolis when his vehicle was struck, sending him to the hospital.
Police say a vehicle traveling too fast for the conditions lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the patrol car.
Officers said the trooper was alert and conscious during transportation but was said to be in pain.
