INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis man was formally charged by the United State Attorney’s Office Wednesday for producing child pornography involving two young people.
Charging documents say Boston investigators found child pornography images which were traced back to Indianapolis and allegedly distributed by David Simpkins, 25.
Upon further investigation, two local children, both under age 3, were identified in the images. Documents say the images indicate the photos were taken at an Indianapolis home. Simpkins was babysitting the children when the photos were taken.
Simpkins was arrested Saturday in Muncie. Senior Litigation Counsel Steven D. DeBrota said in a release Simpkins faces decades of prison time.
The arrest was part of United States Attorney Joseph H. Hogsett’s comprehensive crackdown on child exploitation in Indiana called Operation Community Watch.
