HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Hancock County authorities are investigating the death of a 77-year-old man Friday night.
Authorities say 77-year-old Billy Badgley fell into a shallow ditch he was digging in a barn.
There was a small amount of water in the ditch, authorities say. It is unclear if he drowned or suffered a medical problem before falling into the trench.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death, but investigators do not expect foul play.
