RUSHVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - The 35th Village Post Office officially opened in Manilla on Wednesday afternoon at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Officials say the new post is more convenient for USPS customers in Manilla.
According to our partners at the Rushville Republican, several local officials and USPS personnel were in attendance for the event.
"We're a locally owned cooperative and see ourselves as good neighbors in the community. Opening a VPO will provide service to local residents and our customers and means they can buy a book of stamps or pick up priority mail boxes while visiting the office," a Manilla official said.
Employees at some Indianapolis fast food restaurants will take part in a 100-city strike Thursday morning.
