DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A 19-year-old North Decatur High School student was killed Tuesday evening.
The Decatur County Sheriff says 19-year-old Brandon Coldwell was driving home around 5:30 p.m. when his car went off the road and crashed.
The sheriff says Coldwell's parents called when he didn't come home.
A motorist spotted the car down in a ditch at County Road 900 South and Base Road around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The car was reportedly submerged partially in water.
Officials searched the car and were unable to locate Coldwell inside. Search parties were called in addition to the Indiana State Police helicopter.
Coldwell's body was found in the water about a mile and half down stream Wednesday afternoon.
An autopsy will be conducted Thursday to determine the exact cause of death.
