RICHMOND, Ind. (WISH) - A Richmond couple was arrested Monday in connection with the death of their four-month-old baby.
Amy Hockett and Joseph Pierson face a Class A Felony charge of neglect of a dependant child as a result of the Feb. 5th death of Khaiden Hockett.
Richmond Police and medics were called to a home on South 12th Street to assist with an infant who was not breathing. Medics rushed Khaiden to Ried Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary autopsy showed Khaiden died as a result of malnutrition.
Police said Monday that the case is still under investigation and more charges could be filed.
Both Amy Hockett and Joseph Pierson were taken to the Wayne County Jail.
