HENRY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - The Henry County Sheriff's Department says two people have died following an accident Saturday morning.
Deputies were called to US 35 and CR 675 E, west of Blountsville, around 11:15 a.m. to the report of a personal injury accident with entrapment.
At the time of the crash there was heavy rain in the area, deputies say.
A 2005 Chevrolet Equinox was heading northwest on US 35 when the vehicle hydroplaned and traveled into the path of a 2004 Kia Spectra that was heading southeast at the intersection of CR 675 E, according to a release.
The driver of the Kia Spectra and an adult male passenger in that vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
There was another adult male and two children in that car -- all were transported to Henry County and Ball Memorial hospitals.
The driver of the Equinox and his passenger were taken to Henry County Hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation.
