GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Indiana Excise Police officers arrested 21 people for underage drinking at a party in Greenfield early Sunday morning.
Police officials say the arrests occurred at a house in the 6100 block of North County Road 600 East in Greenfield shortly after midnight.
At the scene, officers arrested 19-year-old Zachary King on charges of illegal consumption and contributing to the delinquency of a minor less than 18 years of age.
King and 13 other people were taken to the Hancock County Jail. Those arrested have been identified as Alexa Jeffries, Christopher Kersey, Lytia Vanderpool, Zachary King, Breanna Fields, Heather Lemaster, Rebekah Mohr, Zachary Kissick, Briana Tietjen, Jessica Tucker, Savannah Giddings, Chelsea Meek, Jordan Conley, and Taylor Denny.
Seven other juveniles were taken to the jail and later released to their parents.
The arrests are the result of the newly launched Underage Drinking Task Force, which is made up of schools, law enforcement agencies and Neighborhoods Against Substance Abuse. The group was launched on June 30.
