INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis division of the Midwest Food Bank received one of its largest single donations Wednesday.
The food bank was given a new 2013 Freightliner semi tractor and trailer from Stoops Freightliner.
The truck was donated to replace an aging 1999 semi tractor that was outdated and in need of a lot of repair.
Stoops Freightliner President and CEO, Jeff Stoops, said it is the largest single donation that Stoops Freightliner has ever given to any organization.
Midwest Food Bank is a faith-based organization that aims to help alleviate hunger and poverty by gathering and distributing food donations to non-profit agencies and disaster sites without cost to the recipients, according to a release.
