CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Carmelfest is the biggest event in Carmel all year long.
It features a parade through the streets of Carmel.
Gov. Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, are among those taking part in festivities Thursday.
This is the 25th year for the Carmelfest parade and chairman Jeffrey Worrell says this year's crowd is bigger than last year's and one of the biggest so far..
"I just went up the parade route," he said. "It looks to me it's significantly greater although we always have a great crowd. People actually put their chairs out 48 hours in advance, nobody bothers them, but I'd say we're five to 10 people deep
Carmelfest continues throughout the day Thursday with live music and fireworks.
