FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - The Hamilton County Coroner's Office confirmed Tuesday morning that the person found in an SUV pulled out of the Geist Reservoir is Fishers teen Peyton Riekhof.
The vehicle was found on Sunday. Police say she had been missing since Thursday. Before she disappeared, she left a friends home upset.
An autopsy revealed the cause of death was drowning.
A vigil was held at Hamilton Southeastern High School on Monday.
Hamilton Southeastern School district is providing grief counselors and clergy members for friends, classmates and staff. They will available at the high school from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day for the rest of this week. Clergy members will be on stand-by and called as needed, officials said.
Town and police officials say they appreciate everyone in the community who volunteered to help in the search for Riekhof.
