HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Four or five vehicles collided in Hamilton County Tuesday afternoon, hurting multiple people and shutting down 146th Street during rush hour.
The incident was at 146th Street and Kourtney Place, between Carey and Gray roads.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office officials said debris was spread as far as 100 feet away from the crash.
Initial investigating indicates one vehicle was westbound on 146th Street just before 3 p.m. when it rear-ended another car. The vehicle then collided and damaged additional vehicles.
Two drivers were taken to a local hospital for injuries, including one who was badly hurt.
As of 4:30 p.m., officials expected 146th Street would be closed for two hours.
