NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Police in Noblesville confirm there was police action shooting late Saturday night.
According to Lieutenant Bruce Barnes with the Noblesville Police Department, officials received a call about suicidal subject near Riverview Hospital.
That person has been identified as a 27-year-old man from Noblesville.
According to a release, the man was not cooperative and disobeyed numerous verbal commands. Officer felt threatened by the man and shot him twice.
No officers were injured in the incident, Barnes said.
The area around 395 Westfield Road has been shut down. There was no timeline for the area would reopen.
No other details were released Saturday night.
Carmel High School took over the Colts Complex for a night.
Avon Police Department and Avon Community School Corp. are investigating photos sent from female students to male students, police officials said.
