CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Local schools responded to the heat for a second day, canceling outdoor activities and dismissing classes early.
Carmel Middle School announced Wednesday afternoon that all outdoor activities for the day were canceled.
The school sent out a tweet saying the day's games and practices were canceled.
Frankfort High School dismissed at 1:15 p.m. School officials say the cafeteria was 84 degrees by 7:30 a.m.
