INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan police detectives asked on Tuesday for help identifying a man wanted for theft.
Police say at 3:23 p.m. Aug. 8, a man walked into a Menards store in the 7100 block of South Emerson Avenue and took an 18 volt Hitachi drill. He left the store with the unpaid item. Police were able to get a photo of the man through video surveillance. He was described as a white man in his 20s with short brown hair, a beard and mustache. He was wearing a red T-shirt with blue jeans.
The man left in a white Jeep Cherokee with Arizona plate No. JRX796.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477(TIPS) or 800-222-8477(TIPS). You can also text "INDYCS" plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Stoppers says they were offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the man's arrest.
