INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis woman who shot her boyfriend last year pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years incarceration and five years probation Wednesday.
Crystal Nelson, 39, was arrested following an investigation. Police say she shot Brian Jefferson, 46, on Nov. 6, 2012 after they fought over a relationship.
Police found Jefferson lying on a street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Carmel High School took over the Colts Complex for a night.
Avon Police Department and Avon Community School Corp. are investigating photos sent from female students to male students, police officials said.
