GREENE CO., Ind. (WISH) - A family of puppies trapped in a drainage pipe was free by a rescue group.
Monday afternoon, Greene County-based group S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue took a call about the puppies. They were trapped in a drainage pipe near Bloomfield.

Volunteers dug their way to the puppies. They crawled in and pulled all nine 1-week-old puppies to safety.
They're now back with their mom and won't be ready for adoption until they're at least 8 weeks old.
