INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis man accused of throwing a sledgehammer that hit two children went before a judge Wednesday.
A not guilty plea was entered on Alfred Amos' behalf.
Bond was set at $200,000 for the 38-year-old.
One of the victims, 8 year old Andreus Jeremiah, remains hospitalized in stable condition.
His mom says he suffered a fractured skull and doctors will need to place a metal plate in the boys head. She also says the fight started as an argument between a neighbor and a man and then spilled over onto her property.
She says her sons recovery will take 3-6 months.
