INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A report of engine problems caused an aircraft to perform an emergency landing at the Indianapolis International Airport Friday morning.
Officials say the aircraft landed safety at 9:45 a.m. with 80 passengers on board. There were no injuries.
The flight was 7309 operating for the Delta Air Lines network. It was heading to New York. The airplane left around 9:15 a.m., turned around and came back to the Indianapolis airport.
The aircraft type is an Embraer 170.
The right two lanes of Interstate 70 east near Interstate 465 were closed Tuesday evening due to a crash.

On Tuesday, Indianapolis Police Chief Rick Hite will promote 23 officers. Three sergeants will be elevated to the rank of lieutenant. Twenty patrol officers will be promoted to the rank of sergeant.
