INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department has released new information in the Belmont fire.
The massive fire destroyed a warehouse on the 200 block of S. Belmont Ave. last weekend. Investigators discovered the origin of the fire, but the cause remains under investigation.
It's estimated the damages will surpass $10 million.
IFD reveals investigators have finished processing the scene. Clean up crews will start moving in. The property will be transferred to the Department of Code Enforcement this weekend.
The property is currently being guarded by police officers.
As the year draws to a close, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard says he's still waiting for something he asked for back in March.
