INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Butler's new performance center is scheduled to open at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The University is hosting a reception at 5 p.m. to celebrate the new Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts. The event will take place inside the performance hall.
The reception kicks off the Butler ArtsFest on campus.
The center is located just east of Clowes Memorial Hall and will be the home of several Butler music and Butler Ballet performances.
The 450-seat theater is names after Howard Schrott, the former CFO of Emmis Communications. Schrott ('76) and Butler's dean of the Jordan College of Fine Arts will attend the event.
