INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A car slammed into a northeast side home around 12 a.m.Wednesday, just missing two teenagers.
Metro Police said Emily Salas, Daniel James Buell, and DanielDorfmeyer were traveling along 62nd Street when they crashed intothe home in the 3500 block of East 62nd Street.
Salas told medics she swerved over the road and into the homebecause a small animal ran into the road. She says sheovercorrected going across the road and then into the home.
The car entered the home just underneath the bedroom wheretwo teens, ages 15 and 12, were asleep in their bed. The girls wereunharmed.
Salas and Buell were taken to a nearby hospital with slightinjuries. Police say Salas, 21, had a blood alcohol content of .12.She has since been taken to the Marion County Jail.
24-Hour News 8 spoke with the homeowner, he says the crashfelt like lightning striking his home, and that his daughters wereterrified.
UPDATE 9:30 P.M.: I-69, I-70 and I-74 were reporting slick conditions. Indiana State Police were responding to several accidents on I-74 in Vermillion County.
