INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A family of nine is OK after their house caught fire early Thursday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., firefighters responded to a northside neighborhood near 82nd Street and Hague Road. Neighbors told police they heard a loud noise and noticed flames coming from the house and called 911.
When crews arrived, they woke up the seven children and their parents.
The fire was contained to the attic.
Firefighters believe a heat pump inside a wall may have started the blaze.
Flames were brought under control within 25 minutes.
Damage is estimated at $20,000.
