INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services has established a scholarship fund in memory of two medics that died in a February accident while on duty.
The scholarship, called the McCormick and Medley Memorial Scholarship, was created in memory of Private Tim McCormick and Specialist Cody Medley. It will be funded by the Indianapolis EMS Fund of the Eskenazi Health Foundation, will support the recipient through the Wishard-Eskenazi Health Paramedic Science Program. The program provides an opportunity for EMT's to further their education and career by becoming a paramedic.
The scholarship is worth $6,700 and will cover all program expenses.
