INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Marion County Coroner said it will be another day or twobefore it releases autopsy information on an infant left inside atrash bin. Meanwhile, metro police told 24-Hour News 8 Tuesday thatthe infant was found wearing a diaper.
The coroner said a forensic anthropologist may be brought into help determine the exact age of the child.
A couple discovered the baby's body Monday afternoon whilesearching the Dumpster at 24th and Illinois north of downtown forscrap metal ( read more).
Police are now investigating how the baby got there. Theyhave not released the sex or race of the infant.
The autopsy should help determine exactly how the babydied.
