INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A lightning strike caused a house to catch fire Sunday afternoon, leading to an estimated $130,000 in damages.
Firefighters were called to the 6500 block of Point East Court to the report of a vacant residence fire shortly before 4 p.m.
Crews say neighbors heard a loud pop noise.
It took firefighters 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Neighbors say the home has been vacant for two years.
No injuries were reported in the fire. Investigators with IMPD and IFD say the cause of the fire is a lightning strike.
Damages are estimated at $130,000.
