INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officials say a teenager was shot and killed on the city's northeast side Monday afternoon.
The shooting occurred in the 4400 block of Stouffer Lane around 6 p.m.
IMPD officials say they were called to the 9300 block of East 42nd Street on a report of a fight. When officers arrived on scene, they did not see any fights.
Officers continued to drive around the area, and heard gunshots. The officers drove toward the sound and stopped in an apartment complex.
Inside the apartment, police found the 19-year-old victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The teen was pronounced dead on scene.
